The MAPPS annual conference will take place April 26th 9 AM to 5 PM at Hampton Inn, Flowood, MS. The room rate is $94 night if you mention you are with MAPPS.
Former Deputy Chief Eddy Ingram will be speaking on use of force tactics, verbal, intermediate and deadly force in regards to self defense.
He has 34 yrs of law enforcement experience including:
- Former K9 officer
- Narcotics investigator assigned to MS Bureau of Narcotics, and U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
- Special Ops supervisor and trainer.
- Retired as Deputy Chief from Laurel PD
- State Certified Instructor since 1986.
- Holds 16 instructor certifications in law enforcement training including 5 certificates in Officer Survival and Defensive Tactics.
- Current Director of Training for S’ville Regional Law Enf Officers Training Academy.
John Perez, President of New Jersey Professional Process Server’s Association will be speaking as well. He will be giving a presentation on what it means to be a registered process server. You can view this information here: http://www.njregisteredprocessservers.com/
Mr. Perez is a New Jersey attorney since 1974 engaged in a variety of legal, business, and professional endeavors, including service of process.
Owner of NJ Legal Process Service, LLC, serving process within the State of New Jersey, and Interstate Deposition Subpoena Service, Inc., a company dedicated to assisting attorneys and process servers with the proper issuance and service of out-of-state deposition subpoenas anywhere in the United States.
Founder of, and lecturer at, The Process Server Academy, LLC, providing process server education programs and seminars in New Jersey, and other states.
Member of the National Association of Professional Process Servers Association (NAPPS) since 1994 during which time he served as President for two years, and now has returned to serve on the NAPPS Board of Directors. Formerly, the NAPPS State Associations Committee Chair assisting in the formation of state process server associations, including Mississippi.
Member of the New Jersey Professional Process Servers Association (NJPPSA) since 1998, during which time he served as the NJPPSA President for 2 year, and now continues to serve as President.
Founding member of the Mississippi Association of Professional Process Servers (MAPPS).
Member of all other state process server associations throughout the United States
